the organizations.
these are the organizations/groups that you can be apart of on WMB. there are four at the moment to choose from. the core, resistance, anomalies, and plain old citizens. if you want to be in one, here is where you can find all the info you need on every group available. if you have a idea for a group, or have an idea for a new group, don't hesitate to PM a staff member with your ideas.

the CORE.
This is the organization that was started by the government almost 6 years ago. The CORE are the ones that are responsible for hunting down and capturing the anomalies in the outside world and sending them to Haven. Because they are a rather large branch of the government, they have three subunits. The Research and Science Unit, who are responsible for experimenting with the different abilities of the captured experiments and responsible for creating, the "cure" The Field Unit, known as Agents or in the world of Haven, Prowlers, and the Control Unit. A majority of the Core is made up of normal humans, of course. They do have some anomalies that work for them, but these anomalies are under very careful watch and usually have a extremely good reason for why they do what they do.
The CORE's location in Haven is inside the Capital Building. There is only one government in Haven and that is created and ruled by the CORE so they're law is final. Underneath the Capital Building though, there are layers upon layers of laboratories and holding cells for the anomalies that have been caught.
The Control Unit is basically the ones who call the shots. Their positions includes the Director, Chief of Research, and Commander in Chief, and Assistants to each of those previously listed The Director is sort of the leader. They decide everything, what to do with funding, the best way to deal with the publicity, deal with the gifted and everything in between. They deal with every branch of the CORE, and are responsible for each unit meeting their quota.
The Assistant Director helps take on any of the above responsible that the Director choose to bestow on them as they are the Second in Command. They deal with all the paper work and do more hands on work with those that are underneath of them. More often than not they are the ones that pass orders done to the Commander in Chief and Chief of Research. The Units' Chiefs govern their Unit. They take orders from the Directors and pass orders to those who work in their unit. Each Chief has a co-chief, too, which helps delegate some of the responsibilities. Typically Co-Chiefs have a bit more hands-on work and more direct contact with those who work in the Unit.
The Research and Science Unit is usually kept in the lab. Here the scientist work on a "cure". Of course, the cure is just a facade to what they are actually doing. At the Research Center, they are actually creating creating materials and weapons to restrain and/or kill anomalies, etc, by experimenting on any anomaly that they do find. There isn't a clear set of positions; they widely depend on what each scientist specializes in.
This is probably the largest Unit of the CORE. The Field Unit is made up of agents that go out in the country to locate and capture gifted. Lately there have been a few rogue agents that are underneath the command of the Director themself. These agents are the ones that are responsible for the recent deaths of anomalies in Haven. On the streets they are called Prowlers. . The Commander in Chief is the one that control the Field Unit. They are in charge of dealing with all the agents and all the paperwork of processing the newly coded anomalies. They are also the toughest and hardest of the Agents.
CAUGHT ANOMALIES
The very first thing the CORE does with caught anomaly is mark them. A chip, which is like a barcode to each anomaly, is injected underneath a anomaly's skin near their elbow. These chips are filled with the information of the particular gifted, but also act as shock collars. If a anomaly that is coded trys to leave Haven, the chip emits a very high pitch noise that will basically drop that anomaly to their knees in pain and send out a warning to any near by CORE Agents. Some anomaly with special uncommon abilityes are sent to be experiments for the scientists. Experiments and studies are usually not inhumane, but more often than not, they become brutal and very unpleasant, even traumatic, to anomaly.

the resistance.
This is exactly what it sounds like. The Resistance is a shadow group of both anomalies and a very few humans that are fighting against the CORE, using both aggressive and passive ways to make themselves heard or better yet, get rid of the CORE and make Haven a safe place for Anomalies. The CORE only knows of their existence and vaguely of their objective, nothing else. The Resistance is not really a new organization, but it has only been in the recent year or two that it has grown drastically. They are lead by their Leader and their two Co leaders, but other than that have no real ranks. There are recruiters, members who search for anomalies and/or ask them to join, and there are raiders, those who preform the terrorist attacks on the government and the investigators, members that gather information on, namely, the CORE.
The Resistance's location inside Haven is known only to the Resistance members. They are located just outside the main part of Haven inside the abandoned military base.

the anomalies.
If you are one of these, you were forced into Haven for a reason. You have abilities that humans would call superhuman. Whether it's being able to control fire, or adapt to survive, or even move things with your mind, your different, an anomaly. And so you are dangerous to humanity and therefore isolated into Haven. Anomalies are humans that are born with a certain gene that allows them to preform with abilities. This gene though needs to be activated before they are able to use their powers or become an anomaly. Usually it is activated during puberty or during times of high emotional stress. Only when their powers are activated three times does the gene turn on forever and the human is now officially an anomaly.
There are two different types of anomalies, the coded and the wilders. Coded Anomalies are the ones that were processed when they reached haven and therefore have the chip inside of their skin, and the CORE has all of their information. The Wilders are the ones that were somehow able to escape from being processed and therefore are underneath the radar of the CORE.
the citizens.
these are the humans of Haven. do i really need to explain any more?
